Christmas is a happy time. We aim to spread the festive cheer by decorating our homes and inviting people to visit our gardens and share a moment of happiness.

On this web site you'll find photo's of the lights at Highfield Road in Flitton, Bedfordshire from previous years along with maps on how to find us. There is a childrens page with festive fun and games to keep the child in us all amused. You will also find interseting facts about Christmas and seasonal jokes. There is a contact page where you can send jokes for inclusion on the website, letters to santa or just sign our guestbook.

Thanks for visiting, and be sure to get in touch and let us know what you think!

It started as a single string of lights around the roof but now many of the residents join in by lighting their homes up over the Christmas period. The residents also use this as an opportunity to raise money for charity.

Following the dedication and help from the team during x-mas 2008, Highfield Lights will again be raising money for Midshires Search & Rescue (MSAR) in 2009.

MSAR is a self funded lowland search and rescue organisation made up entirely of volunteers. They can be called out by the police to assist in the search for members of the public who have gone missing, particularly if they are deemed to be especially vulnerable, such as the elderly or young children. MSAR are also members of the Bedfordshire and Luton Emergency Volunteers Executive Committee (BLEVEC), whose members are from voluntary organisations and provide assistance to the Bedfordshire and Luton Local Resilience Forum (
BLLRF) in the event of major incidents within the Bedfordshire and Luton areas.
